Vegetable Tanning is the most traditional and recognisable method of tanning leather and here at DS Horne we have the best range and quality in Australia. It is the only form of tanning that is able to give leather unique characteristics as it retains the natural markings of the leather. Vegetable Tanning is also the most environmentally friendly way to tan leather as it uses natural tannins including a variety of woods, barks, fruits, fruit pods and leaves.
Available in a range of thicknesses, Vegetable Tanned leather is the perfect leather for belt making, carving, dyeing, stamping, tooling, moulding and much more.
