The History of D.S.Horne Pty. Ltd.

D.S. Horne Pty. Ltd. was incorporated in 1978 by the current Managing Director Doug Horne.

The name Horne has spanned three generations in the leather and allied trade. It continues to stand for excellent, unsurpassed service, knowledge & quality.

The story is:-

• Mr. A.S. Horne (Alec, 1st Gen) was involved in boot making, fashion and industrial glove making in Prospect, SA for many years.
  
  
• Mr. J.S. Horne (Joe, 2nd Gen) was Managing Director of Tannawool Ltd. Tannery for over 35 years.

• Mr. D.S. Horne (Doug, 3rd Gen) worked in the Tannawool Tannery in his early working life learning the art of tanning. In those days Tannawool supplied great names like Adidas, Puma, Clarks and Rossiters. He currently oversees the company.

D.S.Horne Pty Ltd through their vast network of reliable overseas suppliers has developed a reputation in the Australian market second to none and are proud of what we do and how we go about it.
